The band consists of Doug Gray on vocals, Toy Caldwell and George McCorkle on guitars, Jerry Eubanks on flute and saxophone, Tommy Caldwell on bass, and Paul Riddle on drums. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1973, included the hit single "Can't You See" which has become a staple of classic rock radio. Other hits from their early albums include "Heard It in a Love Song," "Fire on the Mountain," and "Take the Highway." In total, the band has released 23 studio albums throughout their career. In addition to their successful albums, The Marshall Tucker Band has also won a number of awards and accolades. They were nominated for a Grammy Award in 1978 for their instrumental track "Long Hard Ride" and were named the Top New Group of 1974 by Cashbox magazine.
