Despite some personnel changes over the years, The Marshall Tucker Band continues to tour and release new music.

In 2019, they released their studio album "New Year's in New Orleans: Roll Up '78 and Light Up '79," which includes both new material and covers of classic songs. In addition to their own headlining shows, the band often plays at festivals and events, including the Southern Rock Cruise and the Peach Music Festival. Overall, The Marshall Tucker Band has made a significant impact on the Southern rock genre and music in general. Their recognizable sound, which blends rock, blues, and country influences, has gained a devoted following over the course of their nearly 50-year career.
