Kult, founded in 1982 in Warsaw, Poland, started as an experimental rock band that included punk, jazz, and ska. Frontman Kazik Staszewski, who was influenced by bands like The Clash and Frank Zappa, headed the group under this well-known stage name. Early demos such as Kult (1987) acquired underground popularity. Their gritty, politically motivated lyrics and dynamic performances rapidly drew a loyal following throughout Poland.
In 1989, Kult released Your Eyes, which marked their commercial breakthrough. The band toured big festivals such as Open'er and won several Fryderyk awards for best rock record. Kult charted routinely and cooperated with musicians, including Kazik's solo projects. By the early 2000s, the band had 15 studio albums and multiple singles, including "Polska" and "Arahja," solidifying their status as Poland's rock mainstay.
Kult continues to tour Poland and Europe, performing exciting shows featuring oldies and new material from Wstyd (2022). Popular songs like "Baranek" and "Krew Boga" captivate crowds. Their live performances are legendary, with a strong stage presence and politically charged lyrics. Get your Kult Tickets on Yadara today to see Poland's rock legends live.
