Heartless Bastards are an American rock band formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2003. Led by Erika Wennerstrom's powerful vocals and incisive songwriting, the Heartless Bastards have released six albums over the years. Their sound is a fusion of blues, hard rock, punk, and country that has earned them critical acclaim. The band's first album, "Stairs and Elevators," was released in 2005 and featured songs like "Out at Sea" and "Only for You." The album was well-received by critics and fans alike. In 2008, they followed up with their second album "The Mountain," which included the single "Had to Go." This album earned them a nomination for Best Rock Album at the 2009 Austin Music Awards.

The band has also been nominated for several awards throughout their career including two Grammy nominations for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 2011 and 2013.
In 2023, Heartless Bastards will be embarking on a tour of Mexico with The Avett Brothers.
