Gogol Bordello is an American gypsy punk band that has been actively performing since 1999. The band was formed by frontman Eugene Hutz in New York City and consists of members from all over the world, including Ukraine, Ethiopia, Ecuador, and Russia. Gogol Bordello's music draws on elements of traditional Eastern European folk music as well as rock and roll, punk rock, reggae, and hip-hop. In 2013 Gogol Bordello released their fourth studio album Pura Vida Conspiracy which peaked at number three on the US Billboard Heatseekers chart and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package. They followed this up with 2016's Seekers & Finders which received critical acclaim from both fans and critics alike for its eclectic mix of genres and styles. Gogol Bordello have also won numerous awards for their live performances including a Grammy Award for Best Live Performance at the 2011 Grammys and a World Music Award for Best Live Act at the 2012 World Music Awards. 2023 will see Gogol Bordello embarking on a huge tour around Europe to promote their upcoming fifth studio album due out later this year!
