Fiel a La Vega is a Rock en Español band from Puerto Rico formed in 1994. The band has released eight studio albums, one live album and a "best-of" album. They have toured extensively throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. The band is known for their eclectic musical style, which fuses elements of rock, reggae, ska, punk rock and Latin music.
Fiel a La Vega was formed in 1994 by brothers Tito (vocals, guitar) and Raphy (bass) Rodriguez and their cousin Gamaliel (drums). The band's name is derived from a Puerto Rican folk song of the same name. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1995. It was followed by Ciudad de Angel (1997), which was a harder-edged album than their debut.
The band's third album, En El Cielo No Hay Cerveza (2000), featured the single "El Camino a Casa", which became a radio hit in Puerto Rico. The album also included the song "Lluvia", which was used in the soundtrack of the film "El Cielo Abierto". After the release of the album, the band embarked on a world tour, which took them to the United States, Europe and Asia.
In 2003, the band released their fourth album, Cuatro Veces Amor. The album's first single, "Dime Si Recuerdas", was a Top 10 hit in Puerto Rico. The album also included the song "Maria", which was used in the soundtrack of the film "El Cantante".
In 2006, the band released their fifth album, El Mundo Sin Ti. The album's first single, "Me Voy", was a Top 10 hit in Puerto Rico. The album also included the song "Que Te Vaya Bonito", which was used in the soundtrack of the film "El Cantante".
In 2009, the band released their sixth album, La Fuerza del Destino. The album's first single, "Donde Estan?", was a Top 10 hit in Puerto Rico. The album also included the song "No Te Olvides de Mi", which was used in the soundtrack of the film "El Cantante".
In 2012, the band released their seventh album, Titanes del Ring. The album's first single, "La Lucha de los Gigantes", was a Top 10 hit in Puerto Rico. The album also included the song "Yo No Soy Un Angel", which was used in the soundtrack of the film "El Cantante".
In 2015, the band released their eighth album, Vivir Sin Miedo. The album's first single, "No Te Rindas", was a Top 10 hit in Puerto Rico. The album also included the song "Vamos Pa'l Batey", which was used in the soundtrack of the film "El Cantante".
Fiel a La Vega has won numerous awards, including two Latin Grammy Awards and five Premio Lo Nuestro Awards. They have been nominated for eight Grammy Awards.
