He is best known for his work as the frontman of the indie folk band Fleet Foxes. Misty released his debut solo album, Fear Fun, in 2012 to critical acclaim. His second album, I Love You, Honeybear, was released in 2015 to similar acclaim. Misty's music is characterized by its use of irony, wit, and dark humor. Misty appeared on the band's follow-up album, Helplessness Blues (2011), which was also nominated for a Grammy Award. In early 2012, Misty left Fleet Foxes to pursue a solo career. He released his debut solo album, Fear Fun, that same year. The album received rave reviews from critics and peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 200. Misty's second album, I Love You, Honeybear, was released in 2015 to similar acclaim. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
