He also contributed background vocals on the Alice in Chains song "Would?", which appeared on the soundtrack to the 1992 film Singles. Since his teenage years, Johnson has been ascending the ranks of musical fame with a remarkable grassroots rise. In 1998, he made a cameo appearance in the Beastie Boys' music video for "Body Movin' (Fatboy Slim Remix)". In 2007, Johnson appeared in the John Malkovich film Redbelt.
