Echosmith is an American indie rock band formed in February 2009. The band consists of siblings lead singer Sydney Sierota, bassist Noah Sierota, and drummer Graham Sierota who were raised in Chino Hills California by their parents, Jeffery David and Judy Sierota. The group has released two albums: Talking Dreams in 2013, and Inside a Dream in 2017. Echosmith began as a family band when Sydney and Noah were just 13 and 11 years old respectively. The siblings were encouraged to pursue music by their father who was a musician himself. They started playing covers of popular songs before eventually writing their own material. The band's first big break came in 2012 when they were featured on Warped Tour. The following year, they signed with Warner Bros. Records and released their debut album, Talking Dreams. Echosmith's music has been described as "feel-good indie pop" with a strong '80s influence. Their song "Cool Kids" became a breakout hit, reaching the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and receiving Platinum certification. The band has toured with acts such as Paramore, Neon Trees, and Owl City. In 2017, they released their second album, Inside a Dream.
