In 1996, Crowded House disbanded due to the personal stresses affecting Neil Finn. In 2006, Matt Sherrod joined the band on drums and breathed new life into their music. Crowded House reformed in 2007 with Mark Hart and released their fifth album, Time on Earth, in 2010. The band's most recent album, Intriguer, was released in 2016. Crowded House has won multiple awards throughout its career, including four ARIA Music Awards, three APRA Awards, three NME Awards, and two Grammy Award nominations.
