Michael Colton Dixon is an American singer-songwriter and musician from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He began playing music in his early teens and rose to fame after placing seventh on the eleventh season of American Idol. Since then, he has gone on to release several Colton Dixon albums and singles that have made it onto the Billboard charts. Colton's debut album A Messenger was released in 2013, which included his hit single "Never Gone". The song reached No. 1 on the U.S. Christian chart and was certified gold in the US. His second album, Anchor, also achieved success with its lead single "More of You" reaching No. 1 on the Christian Airplay chart for five consecutive weeks. In 2017, Colton released his third studio album Identity which topped the US Christian Albums Chart and peaked at No. 6 on the US Top Heatseekers Chart. This album featured singles such as "All That Matters", Colton Dixon Miracles and "Love Has Found Me".
Colton has earned several awards throughout his career including two Dove Awards for New Artist of The Year (2013) and Pop/Contemporary Album of The Year (2014). He has also been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song (2013) and a Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Artist (2017).
