Candlebox is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington that has been rocking the music industry since 1993. Formed by singer-songwriter Kevin Martin and guitarist Peter Klett, their unique sound has helped them become one of the most successful bands in the rock genre. Candlebox’s debut album was released in July 1993 and was certified 4× platinum by the RIAA. The album spawned five singles, including the hit song “Far Behind” which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and No. 8 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The success of this single earned Candlebox a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song. Following their initial success, Candlebox released three more albums: Lucy (1995), Happy Pills (1998), and Into the Sun (2008). Each album produced several hit singles, including “Change”, “You”, “Simple Lessons”, and “Believe in It”. The band also toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe to promote their albums.
In 2012, Candlebox reunited with all four original members to release their fifth studio album Love Stories & Other Musings which featured two singles: “Stand” and “Crazy”. Candlebox announced their 2023 tour dates for North America and Europe in support of their new album Change In The Dark.
