Boat House Row is an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2009, the band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Joe Smith, bassist and backing vocalist Mikey Williams, drummer Tom Kline and keyboardist/guitarist Dave Miller. The group has released four studio albums to date: 2010's "The Way We Live Now," 2012's "The End of All Things," 2015's "The Art of Letting Go" and 2018's "Waves." Boat House Row has also released several EPs, live albums, and singles. Since its formation in 2009, Boat House Row has gained a cult following thanks to its unique sound that blends classic rock with modern indie-pop sensibilities. Their debut album "The Way We Live Now" was met with critical acclaim upon its release in 2010; it featured the hit singles "Let It Go" and "Hold On Tight." The album went on to be certified gold in the United States. In 2012, Boat House Row released their second album "The End of All Things," which included the hit single "Falling Apart." This album was also certified gold in the US and charted at number one on the US Rock Albums chart.
In 2015, Boat House Row released their third studio album titled "The Art of Letting Go." This album featured the hit singles "Dreams" and "Foolish Heart." The album achieved huge commercial success as it debuted at number one on both the US Billboard 200 charts and the US Top Rock Albums charts. Since then, Boat House Row has gone on to achieve numerous awards including two Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album (2015) and Best Pop Vocal Album (2018). They have also been nominated for several other awards including two Brit Awards for Best International Group (2012) and Best International Album (2015). Boat House Row is currently gearing up for their 2023 tour which will include stops across North America as well as Europe.
