Big Wreck Band is a Canadian rock band founded in 1994 by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Ian Thornley. The band has released five studio albums since their formation: In Loving Memory Of... (1997), The Pleasure and the Greed (2001), Ghosts (2004), Albatross (2012), and Grace Street (2017). Big Wreck's debut album In Loving Memory Of... was certified double platinum in Canada and spawned the hit singles "That Song", "Blown Wide Open" and "The Oaf". The album earned them four Juno Award nominations in 1998, including Best New Group. In 2001, Big Wreck released their second album The Pleasure and the Greed which included the singles “Look What I Found”, “Control” and “Ladylike”. This record was certified gold in Canada. In 2004, they released their third album Ghosts which featured the single “Hey Mama”. This record was also certified gold in Canada. After a seven-year hiatus from recording new music, Big Wreck returned with their fourth studio album Albatross in 2012. This record contained the hit single "A Million Days" which peaked at number three on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Chart. Albatross was nominated for Rock Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards. Big Wreck's fifth studio album Grace Street was released in 2017 to critical acclaim. It featured the singles "One Good Piece of Me" and "Skybunk Marché". At the 2018 Juno Awards, Grace Street won Rock Album of The Year as well as Contemporary Roots Album of The Year!
