The group Iration is a reggae/pop band from the small college town of Isla Vista in Santa Barbara, California. All of the members are native Hawaiians. They perform a blend of reggae, dub, pop, and rock music. The genre of sunshine reggae is one of the most prolific in the community. Iration's musical style has been compared to that of Rebelution, Jack Johnson, and Sublime. The band has toured with such acts as Rebelution, Matisyahu, and Soja. They have performed at music festivals such as Lollapalooza, Hangout Music Festival, and Reggae on the River. Iration was formed in 2004 by guitarist/vocalist Micah Pueschel, Micah Brown, Joe Dickens, bassist/vocalist Cayson Peterson, drummer Adam Taylor, and keyboardist/guitarist Joseph King. The band members all attended Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, California. Iration released its first EP, New Roots, in 2006. The EP was followed by the full-length albums No Time for Rest (2007) and Time Bomb (2009). In 2010, the band's single "Turn Around" reached number 1 on the Billboard Reggae charts. Iration's fourth studio album, Automatic, was released in 2013. The album peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Reggae chart. The album's first single, " electric, sun, love," was a top 10 hit on the Reggae charts. Iration's fifth studio album, Double Up, was released in 2016.
