Stephanie Mills is an American singer and songwriter best known for her hit single, "Never Knew Love Like This Before." She began her career as a child actor on Broadway in the musicals The Wiz and Annie. After signing with 20th Century Fox Records at the age of 16, Mills released her debut album, Whatcha Gonna Do with My Lovin', which earned her two Grammy Award nominations. Her second album, Sweet Sensation, was released in 1980 and became an instant hit. It included some of her most beloved songs such as "You Can Get Over" and "Two Hearts". In 1982, she released her third album Tantalizingly Hot which featured the hit single "I Feel Good All Over" which went to number one on the Billboard R&B chart. Stephanie also won a Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for this song. She followed this success with another top-ten single from the same album called "Never Knew Love Like This Before". This song became a classic love ballad throughout the world, earning Mills several awards including two Soul Train Music Awards for Best R&B/Soul Single and Best R&B/Soul Album of The Year.
In 1985, Stephanie Mills released her fourth studio album If I Were Your Woman featuring the hit singles "Bit by Bit (I'm Falling in Love)" and "Home". The following year she released another successful record titled Stephanie which included popular songs such as "The Medicine Song" and "Secret Lady". In 1988 Mills dropped her sixth studio album I've Got The Cure which featured four top-ten hits on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart: "(You're Puttin') A Rush On Me", "(He's Got) The Look", "How Could He Hurt You", and "Something In The Way (You Make Me Feel)". Throughout the 90s she continued to deliver great music with albums like Home Again (1993), Think About It (1995), Star Bright (1996), and Christmas Fantasy (1998).
