Gatie began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 14. When he was 16, he started posting videos of himself singing original songs on YouTube. In 2016, Gatie released his debut single, "It's You," which became a viral hit and has been viewed over 100 million times on YouTube. Records in 2018 and released his first EP, The Orange Room, that same year. Following the success of his 2018 single releases, he was quickly signed by Warner Records.
