In the 2014 romance drama Beyond the Lights, Baker made his acting debut as Kid Culprit, a "shallow, self-important" rapper. He collaborated with Nas, another rapper, to co-star in and co-executive produce The Land, a drama with a Cleveland setting that was released in 2016. He also had recurring roles on the Showtime comedy-drama series Roadies as Wes, a former Pearl Jam roadie, and the techno-thriller adventure film Nerve with Emma Roberts and Dave Franco that same year.
