Frankie Beverly is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and producer. He is best known as the frontman of the band Maze featuring Frankie Beverly.
Beverly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 6, 1946. He began his career as a drummer, but soon switched to singing and fronting bands. In the early 1970s, he formed the band Raw Soul, which had a hit single with "Feel That You're Feelin'," which was co-written by Beverly. The band later changed its name to Maze, and had a string of hits in the 1980s including "Workin' Together," "Can't Stop Lovin' You," and "Back in Stride."
Beverly has also written and produced for other artists, including Gladys Knight and the Pips, Denise Williams, and the Emotions. He has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame in 2014.
