Yellowcard is a rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1997. The band is best known for its hit singles "Ocean Avenue", "Lights and Sounds", and "Only One". They have released nine studio albums, one live album, four extended plays, twenty-one singles, and thirteen music videos. Yellowcard's sound has been described as pop punk with elements of alternative rock, emo, post-hardcore and ska-punk. Yellowcard released their first album Midget Tossing in 1997 followed by the EP Where We Stand in 1998. Their second full-length album One for the Kids was released in 2001 with their third full-length album Ocean Avenue being released two years later in 2003. Ocean Avenue was a commercial success and certified double platinum by the RIAA. It also spawned three chart-topping singles: "Way Away", "Only One" and the title track "Ocean Avenue".
The following year they released the live album Live from Las Vegas at the Palms which peaked at number 30 on Billboard 200 chart. In 2006 Yellowcard returned with their fourth studio album Lights and Sounds which reached number 6 on Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold by RIAA. The single from this album titled "Lights and Sounds" reached number 10 on US Mainstream Top 40 chart becoming their highest charting single to date. After a four-year hiatus, Yellowcard returned with Paper Walls in 2007 which peaked at number 13 on Billboard 200 chart. In 2010 they released When You're Through Thinking Say Yes which peaked at number 19 on Billboard 200 chart spawning two singles: "For You And Your Denial" and "Hang You Up".
Their eighth studio album Lift A Sail was released in 2014 reaching number 10 on the US Rock Albums chart while its lead single titled “One Bedroom” reached number 1 on the US Rock Songs chart becoming their highest charting single to date. In 2016 they announced that they would be releasing their ninth studio album entitled Yellowcard which would be their last before disbanding after 20 years together as a band. The self-titled LP debuted at number 16 on Billboard 200 upon its release that same year. After disbandment, Yellowcard announced reunion tour dates for 2023 including performances across North America as well as Europe making it one of the most anticipated tours of next year!
