The Bouncing Souls are an American punk band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, formed in 1989. They are known for their energetic live shows and melodic sound that combines elements of skate punk, folk punk, and pop punk. The band consists of Greg Attonito (vocals, guitar), Pete Steinkopf (guitar), Bryan Kienlen (bass), and Michael McDermott (drums). Since forming in 1989, The Bouncing Souls have released a total of nine studio The Bouncing Souls albums. Their debut album was the self-titled The Bouncing Souls in 1992 which featured fan favorites such as "Say Anything", "East Side Mags" and "Cracked". This was followed by the critically acclaimed Maniacal Laughter in 1995 which spawned the single "Manthem". In 1997 they released their third album Hopeless Romantic, which featured the hit single "East Coast! Fuck You!". This record is often considered to be one of their best releases.
The Bouncing Souls have continued to release albums over the years including How I Spent My Summer Vacation (2001) and Anchors Aweigh (2003). They also released two EPs - The Gold Record (2006) and Ghosts on the Boardwalk (2009). Their most recent album was Simplicity in 2016 which included songs such as “Digital Twilight Zone” and “Up To Us”. Throughout their career, The Bouncing Souls have been nominated for various awards including Best Punk Artist at the Kerrang! Awards. They were also nominated for Album Of The Year at the Alternative Press Music Awards for Simplicity. The Bouncing Souls are currently gearing up for their 2023 tour with dates across North America.
