AJJ, formerly known as Andrew Jackson Jihad, is an American folk punk band that has been making music since 2004. The band consists of Sean Bonnette and Ben Gallaty, who both write the songs and sing lead vocals. AJJ has released seven studio albums since its formation in 2004. Their first album, ‘People Who Can Eat People Are The Luckiest People In The World’, was released in 2007 and was followed by ‘Can’t Maintain’ in 2008. Both albums were well-received by fans and critics alike, with the latter being nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. In 2011, AJJ released their third album ‘Knife Man’ which featured some of their most popular songs such as “Big Bird” and “Gift Of The Magi 2: Return Of The Magi”. In 2012, AJJ released their fourth album ‘Christmas Island’ which was well-received by fans and critics alike. It featured the hit single “Linda Ronstadt” which was praised for its clever lyrics and catchy melody. AJJ's fifth album 'The Bible 2' was released in 2016 to much critical acclaim from both fans and critics alike. It featured some of the band's most popular songs such as "Goodbye, Oh Goodbye" and "Cody's Theme". This album also earned them a nomination for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Following this success, AJJ released two more albums 'Good Luck Everybody' (2019) and 'No Place Like Home' (2020). Both albums received positive reviews from critics with the latter being nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards. 2023 will be an exciting year for AJJ band fans as they embark on a world tour!
