The Searchers, one of the most influential bands in British music history, have been entertaining audiences since their formation in Liverpool in 1959. The band consists of original members Mike Pender and John McNally along with Frank Allen, Scott Ottaway, and Spencer James. The Searchers’ debut single “Sweets for My Sweet” marked their first success when it reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. This was followed by a string of hits including “Needles and Pins”, “Don't Throw Your Love Away” and “Someday We're Gonna Love Again”. Their 1964 album Meet The Searchers was a major international success, reaching number three on the US Billboard 200 chart and earning them a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist. The band continued to be successful throughout the 1960s, releasing several more albums such as It's The Searchers (1965), Take Me For What I'm Worth (1965), and Sounds Like Searchers (1966). They also had a few hit singles including “Love Potion No. 9” and “Goodbye My Love” which both reached number two on the UK Singles Chart.
In 1967, The Searchers disbanded but reunited again in 1972 for a reunion tour which proved to be very popular with fans. In 2020, The Searchers released their first new album in over 50 years titled 'Hearts In Our Eyes'. It featured some of their classic songs as well as some brand-new material from the band's current lineup. The album was met with critical acclaim from both fans and critics alike who praised its energy and musicianship. To celebrate this release, they embarked on a world tour which included dates across Europe and North America as well as Australia and New Zealand.
