The Carpenters Story is a sensational celebration of the music of Karen and Richard Carpenter. It’s a musical journey through their glittering career as pop's most famous brother and sister duo. In 1971, they released their second album Close To You which featured some of their greatest hits including "Close To You", "We've Only Just Begun", and "Rainy Days And Mondays". This album was even more successful than their first one, reaching number two on the US Billboard 200 chart.
The success continued with their third album Now & Then (1973) which featured songs such as "Sing" and "Yesterday Once More". Throughout the 70s and 80s The Carpenters released several more albums including Horizon (1975), Passage (1977), Made In America (1981), and Voice Of The Heart (1983). They also released five compilation albums during this period - Lovelines (1989), Interpretations: A 25th Anniversary Celebration (1995), As Time Goes By: Their Greatest Hits (1997), Love Songs (2001), and Singles 1969-1981 (2005). The Carpenters Story will be returning to stages with dates already confirmed for 2023 in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, and Dublin there are sure to be plenty more dates added soon!
