Taylor Dayne is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who has been performing for over three decades. She is best known for her hit singles such as "Tell It To My Heart", "Love Will Lead You Back", and "Prove Your Love". Born Leslie Wunderman in Baldwin, New York in 1962, Taylor Dayne began her career as a backing vocalist before signing with Arista Records in 1987. She released her debut album Tell It To My Heart in 1988 which spawned the title track single that became a worldwide hit. The single reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Dayne released her second album Can't Fight Fate in 1989 which included more chart-topping singles such as "Love Will Lead You Back" and "I'll Always Love You". This album was also certified gold by the RIAA. Her third album Soul Dancing was released in 1993, featuring the hits "Send Me A Lover" and "Do You Want It Right Now".
In addition to her studio albums, Taylor Dayne has also released several live albums including Live at Last (1998) and Greatest Hits Live (2003). Throughout her career, Taylor Dayne has achieved immense success with multiple awards including two Grammy nominations for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ("Don't Rush Me" in 1989 and "Love Will Lead You Back" in 1990), four American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, an ASCAP Award for Songwriter of the Year (1989), and a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame (1996). Additionally, she is an inductee of the Long Island Music Hall of Fame (2006).
