Tai Verdes was born in London, England. His mother is English and his father is of Portuguese descent. Tai's musical influences come from a variety of genres including pop, rock, soul, R&B, hip hop and electronic music. Tai began playing the guitar at the age of eleven. He cites Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder and John Mayer as some of his biggest musical influences. Tai has been writing songs since he was thirteen years old. In 2014, Tai released his debut EP "The Wanderlust EP" independently. The lead single from the EP, "Far Away", received airplay on BBC Radio 1 and was added to the Spotify UK Viral 50 chart. In 2015, Tai was signed to Virgin EMI Records. He has since released two singles with the label, "Searching" and "For You". Tai's debut album is set to be released in 2016.
