Sales is an American guitar-based indie pop band whose members come from Orlando, Florida. The band was formed in 2006 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Mikey Way. They have released two albums, I'm Not Invisible (2007) and The War (2008), as well as an EP, 3 Songs (2009). Sales has been described as "indie pop's answer to One Direction" by NME and "a male version of Haim" by The Independent. The band has toured with acts such as Paramore, Fall Out Boy, and Twenty One Pilots.
Sales was formed in 2006 by Mikey Way, who had previously been a member of the pop punk band My Chemical Romance. He was later joined by his brother Ryan Way on drums, and the two began writing and recording music together. The band's first release was the EP 3 Songs, which was self-released in 2009. This was followed by their debut album I'm Not Invisible, which was released on March 18, 2007 byfueled by Ramen. The album peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
In 2008, Sales toured with Paramore and Fall Out Boy on the Honda Civic Tour. They also toured with Twenty One Pilots in 2014.
The band's second album, The War, was released on August 5, 2008 by fueled by Ramen. The album peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
In 2009, Sales toured with Cobra Starship and Boys Like Girls on the Vans Warped Tour.
In 2010, Sales toured with We the Kings and All Time Low on the AP Tour.
In 2014, Sales supported Panic! at the Disco on their Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! Tour.
On March 18, 2017, Sales released their self-titled third album. The album peaked at number 42 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
On September 28, 2018, Sales announced that they had signed with Sumerian Records and would be releasing a new single, "Talk To Me", on October 5. The band's fourth studio album is set to be released in 2019.
