Royal Wood is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Wood was born in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada. He has released eight studio albums, one live album, and three EPs. He began playing piano at the age of 8 and started playing instruments like the guitar, bass, drums, clarinet, and trumpet in his teenage years. His debut EP, The Milkweed EP, was released in 2003 to critical acclaim. It also started to garner him more attention and get comparisons to artists like Jeff Buckley and Randy Newman.
His debut studio album, Tell Tales, came out in 2004 and was met with rave reviews for his vocal approach and catchy lyrics.
