RISO is a folk music duo from Tucson, Arizona, United States. RISO is made up by Matt Roland and Rebekah Sandoval Rolland. They first met at the Arizona State Fiddle Contest, which Rebekah's grandfather has hosted for many years. Matt was a frequent participant, and they both developed up in family bands on the Arizona bluegrass and acoustic festival circuit. Their sound is a unique blend of Americana styles that includes bluegrass, old-time, country, swing, pop, and rockabilly. RISO is a complex, multi-layered amalgamation of creative energy.The duo is rooted from their childhood acoustic soundscapes, and is elevated by acute and complementary musical instincts. RISO has been on the road with their internationally renowned Americana band, Run Boy Run, for the past decade.
