The band's debut album, Give You the Ghost, was released in 2012 to critical acclaim. The album was once again produced by Ryan Olson and mixed by Mike Mogis, and features guest vocals from Justin Vernon and Astronautalis.
In 2016, Poliça released the album United Crushers, which was once again produced by Ryan Olson and mixed by Mike Mogis. The album features guest vocals from Nitty Scott and Allan Kingdom.
The latest album, Music for the Long Emergency, by Berlin-based orchestral collective Stargaze and Poliça was published on Transgressive Records on February 16, 2018. The two ensembles first collaborated on Bruise Blood: Reimagining Steve Reich's "Music for Pieces of Wood" in February 2016 in Berlin as part of the Liquid Music project run by the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. On the new album, the two ensembles toiled for 18 months. The ten-minute song "How Is This Happening," which Leaneagh wrote the day after the 2016 U.S. presidential election, serves as the album's lead single. In May 2018, they published a short movie to go along with the song.
