Little Mix was formed in 2011 during the eighth series of The X Factor. They were the first group to win the competition, and following their victory, they signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music. The group's debut album DNA was released in 2012 and peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. The album included the singles "Wings" and "DNA". In 2013, Little Mix released their second album Salute, which debuted at number six on the UK Albums Chart and spawned the singles "Move", "Little Me" and "Salute". The group's third album Get Weird was released in 2015 and topped the UK Albums Chart. It spawned the singles "Black Magic" and "Hair". The group's fourth album Glory Days was released in 2016 and became their first number-one album in the UK. It spawned the singles "Shout Out to My Ex", "Touch", "No More Sad Songs" and "Power". In 2017, Little Mix embarked on their fourth concert tour, the Glory Days Tour, to support the album. In November 2018, Little Mix released their fifth album LM5, which debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart. It spawned the singles "Woman Like Me", "Told You So", "Think About Us" and "Strip". In May 2020, Little Mix announced that they had signed a new record deal with US label RCA Records.
