About J-Hope

Jung Ho-seok, professionally known as J-Hope, was born on February 18, 1994, in Gwangju, South Korea. Before his rise to global fame with BTS, J-Hope was an active participant in the underground dance scene, notably as a member of the dance team Neuron. His exceptional dance skills earned him various local awards, including first place in a national dance competition in 2008. In 2010, he joined Big Hit Entertainment as a trainee, where he honed his talents in rap and dance. J-Hope made his official debut as a member of BTS on June 13, 2013, contributing significantly to the group's dynamic performances and musical productions. Beyond group activities, he ventured into solo projects, releasing his first mixtape, *Hope World*, in 2018, which was met with critical acclaim and showcased his versatility as an artist. In 2022, J-Hope expanded his solo repertoire with the release of his debut studio album, *Jack in the Box*. The album featured tracks like "More" and "Arson," highlighting his growth as a musician and his willingness to explore diverse genres. To complement the album's release, he headlined the final day of Chicago's Lollapalooza festival on July 31, 2022, marking a historic moment as the first South Korean artist to lead a major U.S. music festival. In March 2023, he collaborated with American rapper J. Cole on the single "On the Street," further cementing his global appeal. During his mandatory military service, which commenced in April 2023 and concluded in October 2024, J-Hope remained connected with fans through the release of the EP *Hope on the Street Vol. 1* in March 2024. This EP, accompanied by a six-part docuseries, delved into his artistic journey and passion for dance, featuring collaborations with artists such as Jungkook, Benny Blanco, and Huh Yunjin. Following his military discharge, J-Hope announced his first solo world tour, "Hope on the Stage," set to begin on February 28, 2025, at the KSPO Dome in Seoul. The tour includes multiple dates across North America and Asia, with notable performances scheduled at the Barclays Center in New York on March 13 and 14, the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio on March 26 and 27, and the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila on April 12 and 13. Fans can anticipate a setlist that spans his solo works, including hits from *Hope World*, *Jack in the Box*, and *Hope on the Street Vol. 1*, as well as select BTS tracks reimagined for his solo performances.
