Downloaded started as a side project by former Skinny Puppy members Dwayne Goettel and cEvin Key in Vancouver in 1992. Early albums like Furnace (1995) showed off experimental textures and were influenced by industrial and ambient electronic sounds. The two of them improved their unique blend of atmospheric synths and rhythmic pulses, gaining a loyal fan base through underground shows and limited cassette releases before breaking into the mainstream electronic scene.

The 2000 album III was a big hit with critics and reached #8 on electronic charts. It also played at festivals all over Europe, like MUTEK and Sónar. Working with Front Line Assembly and remixing projects helped them reach more people. Downloaded won "Best Industrial Album" at the Canadian Music Awards in 2001. The band's complex arrangements and immersive live shows earned them a loyal fan base that was eager to see them perform live.

The 2024 release Echoes of Steel, which has popular songs like "Binary Pulse" and "Synthetic Dreams," shows that Downloaded is still coming up with new ideas. Their live shows, which have 3,000 to 6,000 people in attendance, include synchronized visuals and modular synth setups. The duo is still a standard in electronic music, playing at big festivals and small venues. Get your Downloaded tickets on Yadara now to see electronic mastery in person.
