Dariush Eghbali, better known as Dariush, is an Iranian singer, songwriter, and actor. He has been a major force in the Iranian music industry since the late 1970s and is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Persian pop music. Born on February 4th, 1949 in Tehran, Iran, he began his career at a young age by performing at local clubs and concerts. His first album, "Gol-e Yakh," was released in 1976 and became an instant hit with its mix of traditional Persian music and modern sounds. Since then, Dariush has gone on to release over 60 albums that have all enjoyed commercial success. His discography includes hits such as "Del-e Delam," "Sobh Shod," "Sedaye To" and "Khaab." These songs have earned him numerous awards including Best Male Singer from the House of Music and Best Pop Artist from Radio Javan. In addition to his musical accomplishments, Dariush has also acted in several films including The Tenants (1978), The Deer (1985), and The White Balloon (1995).
