Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian pop sensation and singer-songwriter. She is a multi-award-winning artist recognized by the Grammys, Junos, and Polaris Prize for her illustrious music. Its lead single, "I Really Like You", reached number three in the US and the top ten in several other countries. In 2015, she produced her acclaimed and quintessentially 80s-inspired album E*MO*TION. This record included the hit singles Run Away With Me, Boy Problems and Your Type – all of which received great praise from fans! Pitchfork heralded it as a "solid and spotless pop album". Carly Rae Jepsen was born in Mission, British Columbia, and raised in the nearby city of Abbotsford. She is the daughter of Alexandra and Larry Jepsen; her stepfather is Ron Lanzarotta. Jepsen underwent two open-heart surgeries to correct an abnormal heart rhythm as a child. Up until that time, she had spent much of her life in and out of hospitals.
