Calum Scott is an English singer songwriter. He gained international fame as a contestant on the 2015 series of Britain's Got Talent, finishing in second place. Scott's debut studio album, Only Human, was released in October 2018 and peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. Scott was born in Kingston upon Hull to David and Penny Scott. He has an identical twin brother, Benjamin. Scott grew up in the Hessle Road area of west Hull and attended Hessle High School until 2006, when he moved to Sydney, Australia, with his family. Scott began singing at age six and taught himself to play guitar at age 14. He cites soul singer Stevie Wonder as his biggest influence. The song's title, "a love of biblical proportions that transcends everyone and everything," was inspired by Calum's upcoming sophomore album. The piano-laced ballad is the first release from the album, which will be available this spring.
