Benson James Boone is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He was born in Monroe, Washington, and raised as the only boy among five siblings. Benson first tapped into his musical talents in high school, where he was asked to perform in a battle of the bands. His passion for music only grew from there, leading him to pursue a music career. In 2016, Benson released his debut album, "The Road To Nowhere", which showcased his signature sound of folk-inspired acoustic rock. The album was met with critical acclaim and earned him numerous awards including Best New Artist at the Independent Music Awards. It also spawned several hit singles such as "Hold On", "Letting Go", and "Believe". With this success, Benson began touring extensively throughout the United States and Europe, performing at festivals such as SXSW and AmericanaFest. In 2019, Benson released his follow-up album, "Wanderlust".
This record further cemented his status as an emerging artist in the contemporary folk-rock genre. The album features collaborations with some of today's most acclaimed musicians such as Keb' Mo', Brandi Carlile, and Margo Price. In 2020, he released a live EP titled "Live From The Road" which showcases some of his best performances from recent tours around the world.
