The album 'Arrival' by Swedish pop group ABBA is the fourth studio release. The lead single 'Dancing Queen' topped the charts in a record-breaking 18 countries. 11 October 1976, it was first announced in Sweden by Polar Records. It became one of ABBA's most profitable albums, with three of their biggest hits. Arrival reached number one on the UK album charts in 1977 and received a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. The album was a commercial success around the world and helped to popularize Swedish pop music. It remains one of the best-selling albums of all time, with sales of over 18 million copies worldwide.
The debut album was first released on CD in 1984. After that, it was re-released on CD four times and digitally remastered. 1997, 2001, 2005: The Complete Studio Recordings box set, and in 2006, a special Deluxe Edition was released. The album was released on 7 October 2016 as a double vinyl, with each disc being mastered at Abbey Road Studios using Half Speed Mastering. By the time ABBA began working on their fourth album in August 1975, they had become modestly successful globally. It was with Arrival, however, that they fully rose to global stardom. The sessions took place at Metronome and Glen Studios in Sweden from August 1975 to September 1976.
