Ariane Roy, who was named Révélation Radio-Canada 2021–2022, is a Québec City-based artist who developed a passion for writing before starting her solo project a few years ago. She released her debut single, Adèle, in May 2019. She earned the Pauline-Julien scholarship and the ROSEQ prize in the same year's "Destination Chanson River" competition at the Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée. She makes it to the finals of the Cabaret Festif de Lalève before competing in the major event of the Festival International de la Chanson de Granby, where she takes home two awards. When she advanced to the final of the Francouvertes and won various trophies, she attracted a lot of attention. The musician independently published her debut EP, AVALANCHE (nf), in March 2020. She was nominated for an award at the Gala Alternative de la Musique Indépendant du Québec in the EP Pop category (GAMIQ). The song Ta main was released in October 2020 by the Francouvertes 2020 finalist along with a first music video directed by Adrian Villagomez. This song and video earned her the Jury Prize at the first Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma clip tournament and her first nomination at the Gala de l'ADISQ in the category of Music Video of the Year. He was also able to qualify as a finalist for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize because to this song. In 2021, she was named Révélation Radio-Canada chanson 2021–2022, and she also received the Slaight Music Prize from the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame for an up-and-coming songwriter. On February 11, 2022, the label La maison fauve published his debut studio album, medium pleasure. With free-flowing alternative pop tunes supported by a voice of astounding maturity and the richness of a pen, Ariane has a blast.
