Amos Lee is a multi-platinum recording artist, singer-songwriter, and guitarist. He has had a successful career since the early 2000s, with his first album “Amos Lee” launching him into fame in 2005. His second album, “Supply & Demand”, earned him two Grammy Award nominations and reached number nine on the Billboard charts. Since then Amos Lee has released six more albums and toured extensively around the world. Amos Lee music incorporates elements of folk, blues, soul, and even hip-hop. He is probably best known for his hit single “Sweet Pea” which he sang at the White House for President Obama in 2009. Other notable tracks include “Windows are Rolled Down,” “Stay With Me” and “Out of the Cold” from his 2013 record Mountains of Sorrow Rivers of Song.
His seventh studio album Spirit was released in 2019 and featured collaborations with guitarists Lucinda Williams, Robert Randolph, and Dr. John as well as keyboardist John Medeski amongst others. In addition to releasing successful records and touring the globe with his live shows, Amos Lee has also worked on musical projects outside of his work such as contributing songs to movie soundtracks like The Ant Bully in 2006 or lending his voice to The Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare documentary in 2012. Furthermore, Amos Lee and Willie Nelson's 2010 Countrythrowdown tour as special guests along with Jamey Johnson & Sonia Leigh (amongst others).
