Neha Kakkar Singh is an Indian playback singer. She started her career as a contestant on the television show Indian Idol season 2 in 2006. After that, she appeared in many reality shows and made her Bollywood debut with the film Meerabai Not Out (2008). Kakkar has sung playback for Bollywood films such as Joker (2012), Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011), Teri Meri Kahaani (2012), Yaariyan (2014) and Ek Paheli Leela (2015).
Kakkar was born on 6 June 1988, in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. She did her schooling from New Holy Public School, Rishikesh. Kakkar's father, Rishikesh Kakkar, was a music director and her mother, Niti Kakkar, is a homemaker. She has two sisters, Sonu Kakkar and Neha Kakkar. She started singing at the age of four.

Kakkar has sung for many brands such as Coca-Cola, Samsung, Nokia, KFC, LG and Dabur. She has also appeared in a few Punjabi films such as Jatt James Bond (2014) and Sardaar Ji (2015). Kakkar was also a judge on the reality show Indian Idol Junior (2013-2014).
