We Came As Romans is an American metalcore band from Troy, Michigan. Formed in 2005, the band has gone through one name change and released six studio albums, two extended plays, and one compilation album. The band's lineup consists of vocalist Dave Stephens, guitarists Joshua Moore and Lou Cotton, bassist Andy Glass and drummer David Puckett. The band's first release was a self-titled EP in 2006. This was followed by their debut full-length album To Plant a Seed in 2009 which reached number 8 on the US Heatseekers chart. Their second album Understanding What We've Grown to Be was released in 2011 and peaked at number 20 on the US Billboard 200 chart. In 2013, they released their third album Tracing Back Roots which debuted at number 8 on the US Billboard 200 chart and also reached number 1 on the US Top Hard Rock Albums chart.
Their fourth album titled We Came As Romans was released in 2015 and peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard 200 chart as well as reaching number 1 on both the US Top Hard Rock Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. Their fifth album Cold Like War was released in 2017 and peaked at number 10 on the US Billboard 200 chart as well as reaching number 2 on both the US Top Hard Rock Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. Their most recent release is Darkbloom which came out in 2021 and peaked at number 6 on the US Billboard 200 chart as well as reaching number 1 on both the US Top Hard Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts. We Came As Romans have toured extensively throughout their career including tours with bands such as A Day to Remember, August Burns Red, Pierce The Veil, Silverstein, Blessthefall, Memphis May Fire, Of Mice & Men, and more. We Came As Romans are currently gearing up for a tour across Europe with Erra & Brand Of Sacrifice starting January 2023 - this will be their first tour since 2019's 'Cold Like War' tour across North America with I Prevail & Assuming We Survive.
