Volbeat is a Danish rock band formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2001. They play a fusion of rock and roll, heavy metal, and rockabilly. The band was founded by lead vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen. Since their formation, Volbeat has released seven studio albums and two live albums. Their first album, "The Strength/The Sound/The Songs," was released in 2005 to critical acclaim. It included hit singles such as "Pool of Booze, Booze, Booza" and "Mr. & Mrs. Ness." It peaked at number one on both US Mainstream Rock Charts as well as Canadian Active Rock Charts! The album won Album of the Year at Danish Music Awards 2014 and was certified three times platinum in Denmark. Their fifth studio album Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie was released in 2016 featuring hit singles such as "For Evigt", "Seal The Deal", and “Black Rose” which peaked at number one on US Mainstream Rock Chart once again!
