Vistas are an indie rock band from Edinburgh, Scotland that has been making waves in the music industry since its formation in 2017. The four-piece band consists of Prentice Robertson on vocals and guitar, Rob Mills on bass and backing vocals, Jordan Simpson on drums and percussion, and Kieran Smith on guitar. Since their debut album "Everything Changes in the End" was released in 2018, Vistas have achieved considerable success. The album was nominated for Scottish Album of the Year 2019 and was included in many "Best Of" lists for that year. This album has also earned them a nomination for Best British Group at the Brit Awards 2020. Their single "Someone You Loved", which featured on this album, reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). In 2020, Vistas released their second studio album titled "Everything Sinks". This record features a variety of genres including indie rock, pop punk, and alternative rock. It includes hit singles such as "The Conversation", "Eyes Wide Open", and "Be There For You".
The band has received critical acclaim for this record with some critics praising it as one of the best albums of 2020. The album also peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and has been certified gold by the BPI. Vistas have toured extensively across Europe over the past few years, playing in packed-out venues night after night. In 2021 they will embark on a massive tour to promote their latest album with shows scheduled across Europe as well as select dates in North America.
