Trivium is an American Metalcore band formed in Orland, Florida, in 1999. The Band's members include Matt Heafy (vocals and guitar), Corey Beaulieu (guitar), and Paul Wandtke (guitar). They are regarded as one of the most successful metal bands of the 2000s. They released their first album Ember to Inferno in 2003. Their following albums Ascendancy (2005) and Shogun (2008) reached number 10 on the US Billboard Top Independent Albums chart and number 17 on UK Albums Chart respectively. Other notable albums released by Trivium include In Waves (2011), Vengeance Falls (2013), and Silence in the Snow (2015). Trivium has released 6 studio albums, 1 EP, and multiple singles. Their biggest hits include In Waves, Down From The Sky, Strife, Brave This Storm, and Until The World Goes Cold. Over their career they have collaborated with several artists such as Disturbed vocalist David Draiman who co-wrote & co-produced their single Strife from the 2013 album Vengeance Falls; former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland who appears on their song As I Am Exploding from the 2017 album.
The Sin And The Sentence; and Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe for their 2019 single Bleed Into Me. The band was also nominated for several awards including Metal Hammer Album Of The Year for Ascendancy in 2005; Revolver Magazine's Best Drummer’ for Travis Smith's performance on Shogun in 2008; Grammy Award ‘Best Metal Performance’ for Shattering The Skies Above in 2010 album Shogun; Metal Hammer 'Album Of The Year' again for In Waves in 2011; Heavy Music Awards 'Album Of The Year' for Silence In The Snow in 2015 amongst others. Throughout the years Trivium has toured throughout North America, South America, Europe, Australia & New Zealand extensively headlining many sold-out shows & festivals like Download Festival UK/Europe/Australia, and Hellfest Open Air France. In 2020 they kicked off another world tour performing at Resurrection Fest Spain & Wacken Open Air Germany among other locations.
