Mudvayne is an American heavy metal band formed in Peoria, Illinois in 1996. The group is composed of vocalist Chad Gray, guitarist Greg Tribbett, bassist Ryan Martinie, and drummer Matt McDonough. Mudvayne has become one of the most successful and influential metal bands of the 2000s, with their unique sound and powerful lyrics that have earned them multiple awards including a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2009. Mudvayne's first album, L.D. 50 (2000), was a critical success and achieved gold status in the United States. The album featured hit singles such as "Dig" and "Death Blooms". In 2002, Mudvayne released their second album The End of All Things to Come which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. This record featured singles such as "Not Falling" and "World So Cold". It also earned the band their first Grammy Award nomination for Best Metal Performance for the single "Not Falling".
In 2004, Mudvayne released their third studio album Lost and Found which was certified platinum by the RIAA in 2005. This album included hit singles such as "Happy?" and "Forget To Remember", both of which charted on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in the U.S. The band also embarked on two successful tours promoting this record - one in North America with Slipknot and another one around Europe with Slayer. Mudvayne continued to release albums throughout the 2000s including The New Game (2008) and Mudvayne (2009). In 2011, they released their last studio album before going on hiatus: The Lost Tapes Collection Vol I & II which featured unreleased tracks from previous albums as well as new compositions from each member of the band. After nearly a decade away from music-making, Mudvayne announced their return with a new tour scheduled this year!
