Exodus is an American thrash metal band formed in 1979 in Richmond, California. With their current lineup consisting of guitarists Gary Holt and Lee Altus, bassist Jack Gibson Exodus, drummer Tom Hunting, and lead vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza, Exodus has been a major force in the thrash metal genre since their inception. The Exodus Rock band's early albums such as Exodus Bonded by Blood (1985) and Pleasures of the Flesh (1987) set the tone for their signature sound - fast-paced riffs and aggressive vocals. After releasing four studio albums during the 1980s, Exodus went on hiatus before reuniting in 1997 with a new lineup featuring guitarist Gary Holt and vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza. Since then, they have released several more albums including Tempo of the Damned (2004), The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A (2007), Exhibit B: The Human Condition (2010), Blood In Blood Out (2014), and their latest release, 2020's Catacombs Of The Black Vatican. Throughout their career, Exodus has earned numerous awards including two Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance - one for "War Is My Shepherd" from 2004's Tempo of the Damned and another for "Salt The Wound" from 2009's Let There Be Blood. Additionally, they won the Kerrang! Award for Best Live Band in 2008 and was nominated for Best International Band at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2011. They have also been featured on several compilations such as MTV2 Headbangers Ball Volumes 1 & 2 (2005) and Thrash Til Death: A Tribute To Slayer (2008). Exodus is currently gearing up to embark on a world tour this year that will take them across Europe, North America, South America, Asia Pacific, and Australia/New Zealand. This tour marks the first time Exodus has played live shows since 2019 when they headlined Hellfest Open Air Festival in France alongside Judas Priest.
