Chastity Brown is an American singer-songwriter and musician based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Her music is a mix of blues, soul, folk, and country. Chastity’s voice has been described as “hauntingly beautiful” with a “deep soulfulness” that draws in her listeners. Chastity began her musical career in 2006 when she released her debut album, Redemption Road. In 2011 Chastity released her third studio album Back-Road Highways which featured the single "Back-Road Highways". This album was met with great critical acclaim and won Chastity several awards including Best Singer/Songwriter at the Twin Cities Music Awards.
Following this success she released two more albums; Silhouette of Sirens in 2014 and Driving in 2015. Both albums were highly praised by critics and fans alike with Driving being named one of the best albums of 2015 by NPR Music. In addition to her solo work, Chastity has collaborated on multiple projects including recording an EP with producer Dan Wilson (Adele's 21) as well as performing on stage with artists such as Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Lucinda Williams, and many others.
