Bradley Glenn "Butch" Walker is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. He was born in Cartersville, Georgia, and moved to Atlanta at age 21 to pursue his musical career. Walker has released a number of solo albums and has written and produced for other artists, including Pink, Avril Lavigne, Weezer, Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus. He is currently the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band SouthGang, as well as a solo artist. Walker began his music career as a guitarist in the rock band SouthGang, which he co-founded with two high school friends, Mike Walsh and Jayce Fincher. The band released two albums, Tainted Angel in 1991 and Group Therapy in 1992, before disbanding. Walker then pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album, Here Comes the Brides, in 1994. He released two more albums, Wish the World Away in 1996 and Left of Self-Centered in 1997, before forming another band, Marvelous 3. Marvelous 3 released two albums, Math and Other Problems in 1998 and ReadySexGo in 2001, before disbanding again. In 2002, Walker co-founded the band The Heretic Anthem with Johnny Davis and Jeremy Crabb. The band released one album, This Is Who We Are, in 2004, before Walker disbanded the group to focus on his solo career once again. Walker released his fourth solo album, The Rise and Fall of Butch Walker and the Let's-Go-Out-Tonites, in 2006. The album was a commercial success, reaching number 25 on the Billboard 200 chart and spawning the hit single "Here Comes Summer". In 2007, Walker founded the production company Beautiful Mess1 Productions, through which he has produced albums for a number of artists, including Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, and Weezer. Walker released his fifth solo album, I Liked It Better When You Had No Heart, in 2010. The album received positive reviews from critics and peaked at number 21 on the Billboard 200 chart.
