Given Ian's enthusiasm for comics, it was only natural that he would collaborate with the rock star. When asked how he planned to write the book, he drew parallels between Lobo's frenzied qualities and metal's personality — a clever match since it allowed the rock star to work with little or no restrictions for the character!
