She is one of Peru's most renowned living legends and has been credited with popularizing Afro-Peruvian music both in her home country and around the world. Eva began her musical career at a young age, performing with her family's group Los Diablos Negros. From there she went on to become a solo artist, releasing her debut album in 1994. Since then she has released over 20 albums, with many of them reaching platinum status in Peru. Her most successful album to date is "De Otra Manera", which was released in 2013 and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album. Eva Ayllon is well-known for incorporating traditional Peruvian rhythms such as cumbia, landó, marinara, and festejo into her music. She has also collaborated with various artists from other genres, including jazz musician David Sanchez and salsa singer Willie Colon. In addition to recording music, Eva has toured extensively throughout South America, Europe, the United States, and Japan.
